Good evening my friends!
This marks my official first week of Friday Favorites. If you have been following other blogs in the past you have probably seen Friday Favorites before. The purpose is to share some of my favorite things that I have come across this week. So here it goes:
- The way my dog looks at Tim Horton’s Goodies
Archer is a smart little guy and knows that whenever I go to Tim Horton’s (which is NOT very often) I pick him up a little treat. He looooves the old fashioned Timbits. Sometimes you can even get a plain Timbit for free if you drive through the drive through and they see you have a dog in the vehicle with you. This time I had to pay for it because Archer wasn’t with me but the joy and focus on his face when I came through the door with it was worth it.
2. Kate Spade Wallet
This beautiful Kate Spade wallet was a gift just before Christmas and came as such a wonderful surprise. While I have owned Kate Spade wallets in the past, this was one was extra special and you can definitely tell the quality is way better than the one I currently use. I can already tell that I will get years and years of great use out of it.
3. Cozy house shoes
This must be one of the many “weird” German habits I have. After years of going without cozy warm shoes to wear in the house, I have finally found an amazing pair for sale at Simons in Calgary. No idea what the brand is but they are super comfortable and were a great steal!
4. Vietnamese Saigon Cinnamon from the Silk Road in Inglewood
If you are looking for an awesome spice market where you can find literally all kinds of spices look no further: Silk Road in Inglewood has quickly become a favorite of mine. For someone who loves a good bowl of oatmeal most mornings – especially in the winter- cinnamon is a pantry staple. While I have used the good and cost sensitive Saigon cinnamon from Costco in the past, it is definitely worth the splurge to try new fun types of cinnamon.
5. Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder from Costco
I have been wanting to try Matcha green tea powder for a while now. Since I am currently fighting a nasty cold I thought it would be a good time to try a caffeine alternative ( you can always tell when I’m sick – coffee doesn’t appeal to me at all which really says something). At first I really didn’t like the taste of the green tea because I accidently used way too much powder but once I thinned it out more with water it was probably one of the best green teas I have had in a long time. I would highly recommend it if you are looking to drink less coffee but still need your caffeine fix.
