a winter storm warming with +20cm of snow doesn’t stop you from following your training plan.
This picture was taken pre-snowstorm. On the agenda for today was a 10 km tempo run. Since I am still recovering from my cold I wanted to take it easy for the first few miles and see where it took me from there. The average ended up being 5:43 min/km, which was great! Finished in 57:03.
Obviously running in the snow is a lot harder than on clear surfaces but man, could I ever feel it in my glutes by the end of it!
As I am writing this post, I am enjoying a delicious smoothie bowl and some green tea to warm up! Here is what I have been putting in my smoothie this week: 1 frozen banana, 1 cup cashew milk, a handful of frozen spinach, vega protein and greens protein powder, a spoonful of peanut butter and some spirulina powder. I better soak up all the vitamins/minerals that I can before my upcoming Scotland trip!
That’s it for this morning, I will catch up with you later!
