Sorry for not checking in with you guys for a week but I am currently travelling through the Scottish countryside. It is absolutely magnificent, a full post (or two) about my experience will follow shortly.
For new let’s show you some of my Scottish Highlights:
Taking the Caledonian Sleeper to Inverness:
The best option for the long journey to Inverness was to take the overnight train to maximize my time here. It is quite the fun and charming experience.
Traditional Sunday Roast in London
How can you go wrong with Welsh lamb, potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and gravy? Very traditional and absolutely mouth wateringly delicious!
The castle ruins along the way
Before leaving for Scotland I purchased a map of castles across the country and I am so glad that I did! The sheer amount of castle ruins are absolutely astonishing.
The kindness of hospitality of the Scots
I’ve lived in a lot of places but the kindness and generosity of Scots is second to none. Maybe a move to Scotland is in the books at some point in the future.
That’s all I have for today as I am heading towards Oban right now.
Xoxo Carrie
